The liver is the central organ of our metabolism. In case of obesity, the liver may exhibit fatty liver disease, which is the most prevalent liver disorder in the western world. These videos show key components of the liver structure in three-dimension, namely, blood vessels, bile ducts and liver nerves in healthy conditions and in various stages of fatty liver disease in human tissue as well as in mouse experimental model.
