The placenta is a large organ in the woman’s uterus during pregnancy, which provides oxygen and nutrients to the embryo/foetus and removes waste products from the baby’s blood. These videos reveal some details about the fine structure of human placenta in three-dimension, using the cytotrophoblast marker PEG10 as well as the marker CD34 that depicts the blood vessels inside the organ.
