Developing nervous system based on NECAB2 staining (mouse)
Movie 1: Full embryo, 3D overview
Tissue/pathology:
E14 embryo; C57BL/6J mouse
Antibodies:
NECAB2
Movie description:
After some rotation, focus on the (i) caudal spinal region- dorsal root ganglia; (ii) developing hand innervation; (iii) facial nerves, innervating the whiskers; and on the (iv) frontal cortex of the brain

Tissue/pathology:
E15 embryo; C57BL/6J mouse
Antibodies:
NECAB2

This 2D video was prepared based on the same scan that was used for MOVIE 3, so here one can compare how the serial of 2D pictures (MOVIE 2) vs. the entire 3D-reconstructed structure (MOVIE 3) look like.

Tissue/pathology:
E15 embryo; C57BL/6J mouse
Antibodies:
NECAB2
Movie description:
After building up the 3D structure from the 2D planes and some rotations, zoom to the facial nerves, then zoom into the facial skeleton via the pupil and focus more on the trigeminal ganglion and nerve branches. Then, moving up to the brain, again. Frontal lobe neurons and then the ganglionic eminence are seen with neurons migrating towards the cortex.
Unfortunately, some dot-artefacts stuck inside the facial skull bones, which is a bit disturbing, but this is inevitable with this method and the digital removal is difficult due to the heterogeneous immuno-signal.
