Cholinergic nerves in the muscle (mouse)
Movie 1: Skeletal muscle 3D structure and cholinergic innervation
Tissue/pathology:
ChAT(BAC)-eGFP transgenic mice, back-crossed on C57BL/6Crl; Soleus muscle
Antibodies:
Green fluorescent protein (GFP) and autofluorescence
Movie description:
Channel 1 (redish) is depicting the shape and the filamentous structure of the skeletal muscle. This channel is based on autofluorescence, no immunostaining. Channel 2 (light blue) depicts the cholinergic innervation of the muscle, visualized by ChAT-GFP volume immunostaining. Three big nerve branches are shown and motor endplates are clearly visible especially in the middle branch. The surface of the muscle is slightly damaged.

Tissue/pathology:
ChAT(BAC)-eGFP transgenic mice, back-crossed on C57BL/6Crl;
Soleus muscle
Antibodies:
Green fluorescent protein (GFP).
Movie description:
It shows a major cholinergic branch with lots of motor endplates. Then, zoom to some endplates in different angles.
