In this collaborative project, Simona Hankeova and her co-workers from the laboratory of Emma Andersson, Karolinska Institutet, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, investigated the development and integrity of blood vessels, as well as risk factors of bleeding events in the pediatric liver disease Alagille-syndrome.
The study was published in the EMBO Molecular Medicine in 2022.
I contributed to this project with performing light sheet fluorescence microscopy and 3D image reconstruction of the brain vasculature in an Alagille-syndrome model mouse line.
