In Alagille-syndrome bile ducts do not form properly, which has severe consequences for multiple liver functions.
In collaboration with the laboratory of Emma Andersson, Karolinska Institutet, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, we investigate the development of intrahepatic bile ducts in an Alagille-syndrome model mouse line in 3D and we study how Notch signaling controls the liver nerves.
